WELCOME TO ASSEMBLING CITIZENS
Assembling Citizens is a database of assembly outlines, targeted at two age ranges (KS3/11-14, KS4/14-16). You can use the Assembling Citizens database as a bank of assembly outlines to use at random, selecting an outline for the topic that you want to cover. Alternatively, you can search for, list and select assemblies, systematically following a theme at one of the age ranges.

Used systematically, Assembling Citizens could form the basis of a whole school or year group assembly plan, featuring issues related to personal development and active citizenship.

For example, if staff were doing a series of assemblies on the topic 'Self', select the theme named 'Self' and explore the assemblies and make a choice. Depending on the context of your school, you may find outlines suitable for use in age ranges other than those suggested.

Having selected an assembly, you can choose which of the alternative sections you wish to print out. You can also keep records of which assemblies you use, and include you own comments.

If you write your own material, it can be incorporated into this database of assemblies, and can be searched as described above.
